Disc Golf Network Live Talent Roster Announced

Match Play Championship to Feature Full Live Coverage on DGN | Final Round Free on YouTube

June 14th, 2022: The 2022 Disc Golf season is in full swing. After the completion of four Silver Series events, seven Elite Series events, and one PDGA Pro Major, the Tour is leaving the West Coast after a record-setting event at the Portland Open and the long-anticipated return of the Beaver State Fling to the touring schedule. Up next on the 2022 competition schedule is the DGPT Match Play Championship presented by Discmania. The second annual match play event will take place in Bailey, CO, and feature top-tier competition across three days of play. The Match Play Championship will, like those events on the 2022 Elite Series, feature free final round live coverage on the DGPT YouTube channel in addition to full live coverage on the Disc Golf Network.

The Disc Golf Network, the media arm of the Disc Golf Pro Tour, is almost halfway through its largest season to date with over 30 events on the production calendar. After acquiring the media rights to nearly all of the PDGA Pro Majors (Champions Cup, USWDGC, European Open, Pro Worlds, and USDGC) and recent investments in cellular transmission equipment, the Disc Golf Network is producing more live coverage than ever before.

“We’re really proud of our broadcasts so far this season,” said DGPT Media Director Mahmoud Bahrani. “We’ve already had the most-watched FPO Broadcast ever this season at the Las Vegas Challenge, and FPO viewership this season is regularly higher than MPO viewership was last season. Splitting the broadcasts into two separate streams for MPO and FPO has allowed us to cover more golf and made each broadcast all the more exciting. With separate color commentators for many of the FPO & MPO shows, we’re able to create more space for our viewers to get to know some new voices and hear from a wider selection of live talent.”

As the sport grows, the pool of commentary teams, on-the-ground reporters, and interview personnel is expected to expand. Talent selections for this year range from multi-time Major Champions to newer names and faces that fans will recognize from the disc golf media landscape. Fans can expect to see new names like Brian Earhart and Zoe Andyke, and familiar faces like Nate Doss and Val Jenkins. Projected live talent assignments for the remainder of the 2022 DGPT season can be referenced on DGPT.com.
