DGPT Silver Series Continues in the Music City: How to Watch the DGPT – Music City Open

After three weeks in Texas, the pros are packing up and heading to Nashville for the Dynamic Discs Music City Open presented by MadeFirst. Expect to see plenty of action this weekend as the Disc Golf Pro Tour heads into full swing with the second event in their 2022 Silver Series.

Last year, the pros played at both Cedar Hill and Mill Ridge Park over four rounds to conclude the 2021 PDGA National Tour with a bang.

This year, all three rounds will be played on the rolling hills of Mill Ridge Park. The course offers a great mixture of shots, from long bomber holes to tight wooded gaps with plenty of Tennessee rough in between. Though more open than Cedar Hill, players should still expect significant elevation changes and enough trees on the fairway for a good challenge.

With the 2021 Music City Open just wrapping up in September, it’s difficult to forget the nail-biting action of the final round. Mason Ford put together a hot first round to get an early lead before being overtaken by Ricky Wysocki. After some back and forth bogey action on the final holes, the two headed into a playoff where Ford ultimately walked away with his first career Elite Series win.

On the FPO side, Hailey King snagged an early lead to take the win and the title of 2021 PDGA National Tour points winner.

This year, all eyes are on Tennessee local Chris Dickerson to reclaim his title. After winning the first DGPT Silver Series event of the year in Belton, Dickerson is poised to take down the tournament that he’s won three years in a row (2017-2019).

If last year’s race is any indication, however, this could be anyone’s weekend to take home the win.

Here’s how to catch the action this weekend:
