Welcome!

Welcome to the DGPT Registration and Information Hub! Here, you’ll find everything you need to know about participating in our exciting disc golf events for the 2024 season and beyond. Navigate through our tabs to explore detailed information tailored for competitors and enthusiasts alike. You can find player requirements for competition below and information on how to navigate the tabs to the right.

PLAYER REQUIREMENTS:

All competitors wishing to compete at a DGPT Event (PDGA Elite Series) or a Silver Event (PDGA A-tier status) must comply with the following requirements.

  1. Sign a Player Agreement: This will cover insurance, liability waiver, arbitration, discipline, conduct and tour standards, media, etc.)
  2. Meet all DGPT Eligibility Requirements: This includes PDGA player rating floors of 935 for MPO and 825 for FPO.
  3. Pay All Registration Fees: Registration fees will start at $300 for MPO and $300 for FPO. Some events, such as the playoffs, will have higher registration fees.
  4. Pay DGPT Fees: Tour Card Holders will pay a mandatory fee to gain access to all season-long program amenities and benefits. To ensure a consistent player experience on-site, competitors without a Tour Card will pay an additional $50 fee per tournament to access all on-site amenities that come with the Tour Card program and standard player experience.
  5. Register with DGPT for the payout system: players will be sent a link to get set up with the DGPT payout system (contractor payments). This will set players up for direct deposit to ensure ease of payment for tournament winnings and record keeping for tax purposes.

Tiered Ratings-Based Registration

Note: the following information is only for the 2024 regular season – excludes DGPT Playoffs and DGPT Championship, which players must qualify for.

DGPT Events – all 2024 DGPT Events will open tiered ratings-based registration after completing Tour Card holder registration. Competitors will be allowed to register freely without the requirement of a password or specific invite as long as they meet the minimum rating floor for the open tier. For 2024, the rating tiers for registration are as follows.

Tier MPO Rating Requirement FPO Rating Requirement
1 1010 and up 930 and up
2 990 and up 900 and up
3 970 and up 870 and up
4 935 and up 825 and up

Silver Events (only in Europe for 2024) – all 2024 Silver Events will open tiered ratings-based registration after both DGPT Tour Card and DGPT Europe Tour Pass registrations are completed.

  • U.S-based DGPT Tour Card holders will all need to register via tiered ratings-based registration as Silver events are NOT included as options on the standard 2024 Tour Pass. Ratings grouping for Silver Event registration will be slightly different than for the PDGA-Elite-Series-sanctioned events (see registration schedules tab for more details).

The number of slots available for tiered ratings-based entry will fluctuate based on overall field size, which will differ at each event.  Where applicable, the DGPT will maintain a waitlist for its events based on ratings-based registration and promote players on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Links to each registration page will be added on the registration schedules tab of this page as they become available. Please contact DGPT Operations leadership at operations@dgpt.com with any questions.

WEEK OF PLAY-IN EVENTS

Not guaranteed at every event.

  • For the 2024 season, each DGPT Event may optionally hold a singular play-in event the same week as the tournament (one round early in the event week, typically on Monday) that will award two (2) FPO and two (2) MPO spots in the official tournament.
  • For information on week of play-in events, please contact the Tournament Director for the event in question or email DGPT Operations leadership at operations@dgpt.com

REGIONAL QUALIFYING EVENTS

  • For each DGPT event in 2024, the Tournament Director will designate one other regional tournament to serve as a qualifier and award up to two (2) FPO and up to two (2) MPO spots. Spots are awarded to the winner and runner-up of each regional event. If winners in regional qualifiers already have entry into the DGPT event, qualification passes to the player with the next best finish in the division.
  • Each event is in charge of announcing which tournaments have been chosen. Please contact the appropriate Tournament Director if you have any questions.

Registration via sponsor exemption carries a higher registration fee.

NOTE: Sponsor exemptions must be submitted at least 30 calendar days in advance of the event to be considered.

The DGPT allows a limited number of players to enter each regular season event via sponsor exemption. This method of entry is designed to allow sponsors a chance for their upcoming players to participate in a DGPT event.

Exemptions are awarded by both the DGPT and the local organizing committee (LOC); entities can grant up to 4 MPO and 2 FPO exemptions each.

For LOC exemptions, reach out to the Tournament Director to inquire. All players who qualify via sponsorship exemption must meet minimum rating requirements and all other eligibility requirements to register for a DGPT event.

Questions? Email DGPT Operations leadership at operations@dgpt.com.
