For Immediate Release:

Disc Golf Network Announces 2024 Live Media Plan

February 13, 2024: The Disc Golf Network (DGN) is excited to announce its live media plan for the 2024 season, which will feature several new and upgraded functionalities thanks to DGN’s recent migration to Insys Video Technologies (Insys VT) as the network’s primary technology service provider and an enhanced partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS).

At the forefront of the new functionalities provided by Insys VT is the chance for the Disc Golf Network to offer disc golf fans the opportunity to choose from multiple subscription plans.

Beginning today, the Disc Golf Network will offer three subscription packages: DGN Basic, DGN Standard, and DGN Pro. Each subscription package offers different content offerings, features, and additional benefits for those who opt for the yearly payment option. However, all subscription plans will have access to upgraded platform features:

  • All packages will feature newly updated live DVR functionality on all devices (pause and rewind functionality)
  • All packages will feature upgraded 60fps streaming
  • Instantaneous playback (VOD) access will be available for all subscribers after a round ends
  • DGN Standard and DGN Pro subscribers will get full access to all DGPT Europe live broadcasts

Read more about these upgrades and what’s planned for the future, thanks to Insys VT and AWS.

All current DGN subscribers, as of Feb 12, 2024, will have access to DGN Standard and may upgrade or downgrade to different tiers if they wish. The base price of the DGN Standard subscription will remain the same for 2024.

Subscription Package Offerings

Full details on the content inclusions of each package and additional benefits and features can be referenced on the Disc Golf Network’s plans and pricing page, but all interested fans should be aware of the following details:

LIVE Content Plan

With complete coverage of the U.S. DGPT circuit, select DGPT Europe events*, and all PDGA Pro Majors, the Disc Golf Network is set to deliver LIVE coverage of nearly thirty events this season. Subscribers can look forward to over 190 rounds of live competition between the MPO and FPO divisions and full-day coverage thanks to Tournament Central, DGN’s pre-round, half-time, and post-round show. With the addition of several featured hole broadcasts and stationary camera companion streams at every U.S.-based event, the Disc Golf Network is projected to stream upwards of 1,600 hours of live content to fans this year.

Tournament Central will air three 30-minute daily shows around the FPO and MPO rounds. The show will be live for all U.S. DGPT events (not DGPT Europe events*), PDGA Pro Majors, and the European Open. On select weekends without a U.S. event, Tournament Central will broadcast bonus programming with analysis by Brian Earhart and Nate Perkins, focusing on emerging storylines and recapping action in Europe.

Disc golf fans without a subscription can continue to elect for pay-per-view (PPV) packages for final rounds (starting at $12.99) and complete events (starting at $14.99). PPV will only be available to purchase directly through the DGN website, and packages will only include live broadcasts with video-on-demand (VOD) replays available exclusively to subscribers.

Disc golf fans everywhere can continue to count on free access to select LIVE content throughout the season. Disc Golf Network will continue to air the first round of all DGPT events (DGPT, DGPT+, and Playoffs) and select PDGA Pro Majors for free on the DGPT’s YouTube channel. Tournament Central’s FPO pre-round show and the “half-time” (FPO recap/MPO preview) show will also be available for free on YouTube for the first round of each event.

The Disc Golf Pro Tour season will kick off with the 2024 All-Star Weekend, February 16-18. The regular season will begin February 23-25 with the Invitational presented by Discraft.
